Ingredients
Artisan Bread- 1 loaf
Sugar - 1 cup (more/less per taste)
Milk (preferably 'whole') - 1.5 cup
Cream- 4 tbs
Clarified Butter/Ghee - 1 Stick
Elaiche/ Cardamon - 0.25 tsp
Raisins/ Almonds/ Cashew for garnishing
Directions
Soak Artisan bread in whole milk and set aside.
Heat a skillet and melt 1 stick of butter add cardamon and soaked bread. Cook until its light brown add 1 cup sugar and cream cook for approximately 10 minutes until it become mushy.
Heat 1 tbs of ghee and roast the cashews and raisins. Pour on top of the halwa. Sprinkle cardamom powder. Allow it to cool.
Can be served hot or cold.
